Donnie Alverson

is a senior avian recovery specialist for San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. He has worked at the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center since 2014. He is currently completing his MS in microbiology and cell science and applying to veterinary medical school. He is interested in veterinary microbiology and pathology with applications in zoological and conservation medicine, and in his free time he runs a hobby Instagram account teaching people about the microscopic world.
