He has carried out research on several aspects of fish, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals in Brazilian biomes, which has been published in scientific articles and books distributed worldwide. He has a special interest in the fauna of wetlands and the status of contamination of metalloids and heavy metals in the wildlife in impacted areas.
